The Division of General Internal Medicine offers three distinctive fellowship programs designed to train physicians for academic and research careers in primary care and clinical medicine.
- Clinician Educator Fellowship at Mt. Zion
This program is designed to prepare fellows for faculty careers as clinician-educators in general internal medicine by expanding skills in clinical medicine, clinical teaching, clinical scholarship and medical education.
- Primary Care Research Fellowship at SFGH
In conjunction with the Department of Family and Community Medicine, this fellowship program is designed to train physicians for careers in primary care clinical research and academic medicine.
- Hospital Medicine Fellowships
These programs aim to train internists in the skills they need to become academic hospitalists who are both excellent clinician-educators and possess the knowledge and skills to become independent researchers.
