May 02, 2014 Tung Nguyen, MD, Named Chair of the President's Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders

President Barack Obama has appointed Dr. Tung Nguyen as Chair of his Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. The Commission is charged with working to improve the quality of life of AAPIs through increased participation in and access to federal programs.

May 23, 2014 Dr. Rena Fox Discusses Hepatitis C Epidemic in Interviews and at AtlanticLive Forum

Rena Fox, MD, gave a medical primer and participated in a panel discussion at the AtlanticLive Forum "Future of Medicine: A Conversation on Cost and Value" on May 21st. Dr. Fox has also given a series of interviews recently about the Hepatitis C epidemic.

May 29, 2014 UCSF eConsult Model Going National

The eConsult/eReferral model developed at UCSF by Nat Gleason, MD and Ralph Gonzales, MD has been selected for funding by the Association of American Medical Colleges. The AAMC project will test the scalability of an eConsult/eReferral model for implementation in five partner academic medical centers across the country.
