Apr 13, 2014 Dr. Kirsten Bibbins-Domingo to Receive SGIM Mid-career Mentoring Award

Kirsten Bibbins-Domingo, MD, will be presented with the SGIM Mid-career Mentoring Award at the SGIM national meeting in April.

The SGIM Mid-career Mentoring Award is given each year to outstanding mid-career clinician investigators who are actively engaged in research and mentorship of junior investigators.

Apr 16, 2014 Eliseo Pérez-Stable, MD, to Receive John M. Eisenberg Award for Career Achievement in Research

Dr. Eliseo J. Pérez-Stable has been selected to receive the SGIM John M. Eisenberg Award for Career Achievement in Research. The John M. Eisenberg Award recognizes the career achievements of a senior SGIM member whose innovative research has changed the way internists care for patients, conduct research, educate students, or inform health policy. The award is named in memory of the late John M. Eisenberg, MD, MBA, for his extensive accomplishments and influence as a leader, investigator, mentor, and advocate for research in general medicine.

The award will be given at the Opening Plenary Session at the 2014 SGIM Annual Meeting in San Diego.
