Alicia Fernandez, MD, Appointed to PCORI Board of Governors
Alicia Fernandez, MD, has been appointed to The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) Board of Governors. Dr. Fernandez, a professor of clinical medicine at UCSF, and attending physician at San Francisco General Hospital, was named by the U.S. Comptroller General to one of the seven Board slots filled by healthcare providers.
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) is an independent, non-profit organization authorized by Congress in 2010. Its mission is to fund research that will provide patients, their caregivers and clinicians with the evidence-based information needed to make better-informed healthcare decisions.

Dr. Molly Cooke Attends China Medical Board Centenial Dinner
Molly Cooke, MD, FACP, Professor of Medicine and Director of Education for Global Health Sciences at UCSF attended the Centennial dinner celebration of the China Medical Board that was held in Bangkok on January 28.
