Jan 07, 2014 Dr. Leigh Kimberg, MD Named Program Director for PRIME-US
Dr. Leigh Kimberg, MD has been named the new Program Director for PRIME-US, a five-year track at the UCSF School of Medicine and the UC Berkeley-UCSF Joint Medical Program for students committed to working with urban underserved communities.
Dr. Kimberg has been a volunteer faculty member at UCSF for 19 years while working for the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH) at the Maxine Hall Health Center. She is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and the Primary Care Internal Medicine residency at San Francisco General Hospital, UCSF.

Jan 08, 2014 Dr. Rena Fox Elected To UCSF Committee on Committees

Rena Fox, MD, has been elected to be the School of Medicine Representative to the UCSF Committee on Committees.
The Academic Senate Committee on Committees (COC) is composed of nine elected members who are officers of the Academic Senate. COC is responsible for appointing or removing members of all standing committees as well as the UCSF Academic Senate Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Parliamentarian.

Jan 11, 2014 Dr. Eric Goosby Returns to UCSF
Eric Goosby, MD, who graduated from UCSF School of Medicine, was a primary care resident in the same class as current faculty Bobby Baron and Eliseo Perez-Stable, and was a general internal medicine fellow at UCSF from 1978 to 1983. He was the primary physician for many underserved patients and worked in the Bayview Community. Dr. Goosby went on to lead federal programs and work for the Hilary Clinton led State Department. Dr. Goosby is returning to UCSF to lead a new center on implementation sciences at UCSF's Global Health Sciences. Dr. Goosby will also see patients on Ward 86 at San Francisco General Hospital.
