Dr. Gina Moreno John Gives Keynote Speech at Harvard Medical School "Revisit" Event
Gina Moreno-John, MD, was invited to be the keynote speaker for the annual Robert H. Ebert Lecture at Harvard Medical School (HMS) during their "Revisit" event in April, 2016. Her lecture, "Social Justice Advocacy: a Busy Physician’s Approach" was given to 175 admitted and current Harvard Medical students. She recounted her personal journey and career path, specifically her ability to maintain activism with underserved populations and diversity work in her job and in the community.
The Ebert Lecture is sponsored by the HMS Admissions Office and the Multicultural Student Alliance, which addresses issues that have an impact on underrepresented and disadvantaged student communities and is comprised of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA), the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA), and the Native American Health Organization (NAHO).
