The Division of General Internal Medicine (DGIM) practices provide comprehensive primary care and expert internal medicine consultation for adults age 18 years or older. We have two practice locations–Parnassus and Mount Zion. Resident/faculty physician teams deliver care to our patients at both locations. Residents are licensed physicians who have completed medical school and internship and have decided to pursue further specialty training in internal medicine. The team concept enables you to benefit from the availability of your resident physician, as well as the experience and expertise of a UCSF faculty physician. A number of special services are also available to our patients including smoking cessation, weight management, preoperative evaluation/consultation, and behavioral medicine.

All DGIM practice faculty are board certified in internal medicine and members of the UCSF School of Medicine Faculty.
