Current Academic and/or Research Activities

Current activities include the following: directing the statistical aspects of a study testing a physical activity intervention to reduce bone mineral loss among young women treated with chemotherapy for breast cancer; evaluating the outcome of a study comparing the quality of life concerns of ten year breast cancer survivors who were young at diagnosis with those of their peers who have not had cancer; evaluating the relationship between measures of behavioral constructs and self-reported cancer screening in a multiethnic health survey; directing the biostatistics core of a program project assessing interventions to promote hepatitis B serological testing of adults in the Vietnamese, Hmong, and Korean communities; serving as the national biostatistics director of AANCART, the Asian American Network for Cancer Awareness, Research and Training.
